What is Bilobil is and what it is used for
Bilobil capsules containing dry extract quantified Journal of the ginkgo.
Bilobil capsules belong to a group of herbal medicines used to relieve the symptoms of dementia.
Dementia is a chronic progressive disease of the brain, of which the most obvious symptom is memory loss.
The capsules can consolidate Bilobil blood circulation and metabolism of the brain, thereby preventing reduction of intellectual capacity in mild to moderate dementia of all types. In the case of disturbance of blood supply to the extremities is mitigated by a sense of coldness, tingling, and numbness and pain while walking.
Bilobil capsules are herbal medicine, which is recommended for the relief of symptoms:
– In mild to moderate dementia of all types (from primary degenerative dementia, vascular dementia or mixed form), for the relief of fading memory and intellectual abilities, indisposition, vertigo, tinnitus, headaches and sleep disorders,
– The initial disturbance of blood supply to the extremities, together with appropriate physical therapy, especially with training walk.
What you need to know before you take Bilobil
Do Not take Bilobil:
If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to extract ginkgo or any of the ingredients Bilobil.
Take special care with Bilobil:
Before starting treatment with Bilobil with your doctor to determine whether those symptoms are due to other diseases requiring specific treatment.
If you are ill more prone to bleeding (hemorrhagic) or are being treated with drugs that prevent blood clotting (coumarin anticoagulants, aspirin and other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) can cure Bilobil taken only after consulting your doctor.
If you are taking medicines to lower blood sugar or medicines to lower blood pressure, you have before starting treatment with Bilobil consult a doctor.
Children do not recommend capsules Bilobil because there is not enough data on the safety of medicines in children.
Before surgery, tell your doctor that you are taking capsules Bilobil.
Do not take larger doses than recommended.
Taking other medicines
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.
Bilobil taking the capsules are not recommended if a permanent taking medicines to prevent blood clotting (coumarin anticoagulants, aspirin and other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs). The concomitant administration of medicines Bilobil and these medicines may increase the chance of bleeding.
If you are taking medicines to treat epilepsy (eg valproate, phenytoin), before taking the capsules Bilobil talk to your doctor.
Bilobil capsules may affect the metabolism of drugs metabolized via the cytochrome P 450 . Concomitant administration of capsules Bilobil and these drugs are not recommended. If you are taking any other medicines, before taking the capsules Bilobil talk to your doctor.
Taking Bilobil with food and drink
Bilobil capsules can be taken independently of meals. To date, no reports to food and drink in any way affect the operation of the ginkgo. Taking the capsules with alcoholic beverages is not recommended.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.
In the absence of sufficient data on the safety of medicines during pregnancy and lactation, the use of these periods is not recommended.
Effects on ability to drive and use machines
It is not known that the medicine will affect your ability to drive or operate machinery.
Important information about some of the ingredients Bilobil
Bilobil medicine contains lactose and glucose. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars (have an intolerance to some sugars), before using this medicine, consult your doctor.
Medicine Bilobilvsebuje azo dye is Azorubine (E122) which may cause allergic reactions.
How to take Bilobil
Always use Bilobil carefully follow the instructions. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Mild to moderate dementia
The usual dose is 3 times per day after the capsule 1.
Initial disturbance of blood supply to the extremities
The usual dose is 2 times per day by one capsule, preferably in the morning and in the evening.
Swallow the capsule with a liquid. This medicine may be taken independently of meals.
The first signs of the improvement is usually seen after one month. For lasting impact, we recommend taking at least three months, especially for older people. After three months, your doctor or pharmacist ask whether it is reasonable to continue treatment.
If you take more Bilobil than you should
If you take more medicine than you should, contact your doctor or pharmacist. To date, no cases of poisoning have been reported with ginkgo extract quantified.
If you forget to take Bilobil
Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.
Take the missed dose as soon as possible unless it is almost time for your next dose. In this case, skip the missed dose.
Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can Bilobil side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Very rare:
headache,
benign digestive disorders,
hypersensitivity reaction (itching, redness, swelling)

How to store Bilobil
Keep out of reach of children!
Bilobil medicines should not be used after the expiry date which is stated on the label. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Do not store above 25 ° C.
Store in the original package to protect from moisture.
Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. How to dispose of medicines no longer required, consult your pharmacist. These measures will help to protect the environment.

What product contains Bilobil
The active substance is dry, purified and quantified Journal of the ginkgo extract. 1 capsule contains 80 mg of dry, purified and quantified Journal of the ginkgo extract ( Ginkgo biloba L. folium) (35-67: 1), which corresponds to:
17.6 to 21.6 mg of flavonoids expressed as flavone glycosides,
2.24 to 2.72 mg of ginkgolides A, B, C, and
2.08 to 2.56 mg bilobalide.
Extraction solvent: 60 percent (w / w) acetone.
The other ingredients are lactose monohydrate, colloidal anhydrous silica, maize starch, magnesium stearate (E572) and talc (E553b) in the core of the capsule and black iron oxide (E172), red iron oxide (E172), titanium dioxide (E171), Azorubine ( E122) and gelatin (E441) in the shell.
Excipient the herbal preparation is liquid glucose, prepared by spray drying.
The appearance of Bilobil and contents of the pack
Hard capsules are pink in color, containing light to dark brown powder with visible dark particles and possible lumps.
There are boxes of 20 (2 x 10) and 60 (6 x 10) hard capsules in blister packs.
